What we collect
- Your email address and a salted hash of your password (never the password itself).
- Your display name and proficiency level, given during onboarding.
- Your lesson progress — which lessons you've completed, and when.
- Messages you send the AI tutor, for the duration of that request — we don't store chat history on our servers.
Third parties we use
- Anthropic (Claude) or OpenAI — whichever powers the AI tutor for your session receives the messages you send it, to generate a reply.
- Neon — hosts our Postgres database (account, profile, and progress data).
- Resend — sends password-reset emails, and sees the email address a reset was requested for.
- Vercel — hosts this website and the app.
Cookies
We use one strictly-necessary session cookie to keep you signed in. We don't currently use analytics or advertising cookies.
Retention & deletion
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. To delete your account and data, contact us at the address below — we don't yet have a self-service delete option.
