Help keep Kutchi spoken.

Kutchi lives in people's voices, not in books. We're building Learn Kutchi with the people who speak it — recording everyday words and phrases, in every dialect, so the next generation can learn them.

If you speak Kutchi, you can help. No experience or writing system needed — just your voice and a few minutes at a time.

How it works

From sign-up to points

  1. Step 1

    Apply for an account

Tell us your name, email, dialect and where your family is from. It takes a minute.

  2. Step 2

    Get approved

We review every application and email you a login with your first topics.

  3. Step 3

    Complete your profile

A few details — dialect, roots, age, where you live — so we can label recordings properly.

  4. Step 4

    Answer short prompts

Each topic (food, travel, family…) has a handful of prompts like “How do you say ‘water’?”. Type the Kutchi word or phrase, its English meaning, and any notes.

  5. Step 5

    Record your voice

Record each answer straight from your phone or computer. Re-record as often as you like.

  6. Step 6

    Submit for review

When every prompt has text and a recording, submit the topic. We check it and either approve it or ask for small changes.

  7. Step 7

    Earn points

Every approved prompt earns 10 points. Your account shows your points and contribution level as you go.

Questions

Good to know

Do I need to read or write Kutchi?
No. Write the words the way they sound to you in English letters — your voice recording is what matters most.
Which dialects are welcome?
All of them — Memon, Khatri, Majothi and any other. Differences between dialects are exactly what we want to capture.
How much time does it take?
A topic is a handful of prompts, usually 10–20 minutes. Your answers save as you go, so you can stop and come back.
What happens to my recordings?
They're used to build Learn Kutchi lessons, including paid ones, plus pronunciation audio and language tools. Lessons credit you by display name and dialect. You also get free learner access. See our terms and privacy policy for details. Privacy policy
